Fort Worth, popularly called “Cowtown” for its wild, rural heritage, the city proudly displays its history in many sites, is the 17th largest city in the United States and is Texas’ fifth largest city. It is located in North Texas and the western part of the South America. The city’s area is almost 300 square miles. Fort Worth is the county seat of Tarrant County.
